Older schoolchildren who refuse a corona test may be banned from entering the school grounds in Saxony.
The Saxon Higher Administrative Court decided on Tuesday in several urgent proceedings.
The Saxon Corona Protection Ordinance, which has been in force since March 15, stipulates that currently only primary school children are allowed to enter Saxon schools without being tested.
All other students must either show a doctor's certificate or take a corona test before they - if the result is negative - are allowed to enter the school premises.
Several young people had made urgent requests to suspend these provisions.
They had argued that their general freedom of action as well as their personal rights were being interfered with.

The Higher Administrative Court did not follow this in its decision.
There are self-tests in schools with smears in the front nasal area, "which are not associated with considerable pain," the court said.
Therefore, the provision on testing does not affect the scope of protection of the fundamental right to physical integrity.
