Víctor Hugo Morales (73) will be transferred to intensive care, after being hospitalized for bilateral pneumonia as a result of his coronavirus picture, of which he was diagnosed last Saturday.
The journalist feels better in his voice, so he recorded a message to his family in which he says that he spent a “sensational night”, that he is “well rested”, breathing very well and that he feels “very happy”.
For his part, the medical manager of the Arcos Clinic, Jorge Lantos, confirmed this Wednesday that Víctor Hugo is
"stable", but anticipated that he will be transferred to an intensive care unit
as a preventive measure, "not because he is critical at this time , but out of prudence ”, because they want
“ to have it in a controlled and monitored environment ”
.
According to what they told from the clinic, possibly they apply the plasma treatment to him because of his age.
Pneumonia was detected by a CT scan performed by the journalist in a control.
On Saturday he had been given a positive diagnosis of Covid-19.
Two days later, he gave details of his state of health and said how he thinks he was infected in his radio program, La Mañana, which is broadcast on radio
AM 750
.
"
I am with coronavirus and I have the feeling that I drowned on the shore
. I did all the crossing of the Río de la Plata, I do not know how to swim much, I could not do three meters, it is a metaphor, and when I got to the other side I drowned.
No I got to the vaccine and who knows in what circumstance I hit with the coronavirus,
"said the journalist himself.
Morales, who has not yet received the vaccine, also revealed: "It is strange because you think that in the end you will be immune. Believe me I thought about it at some point, I even told myself in a nonsense that perhaps there are humanities with antibodies that prevent the penetration of the virus, with less predisposition, and I placed myself among them ... ".
And he sentenced: "
I was locked up for a good part of the year,
but when I opened up little by little to go to the canal and some kind of exit that I saw had a perfect protocol and nothing happened, I came to believe that I was among those who had defenses a little more special and there shouldn't be that,
I made it up because it seemed great to me that nothing happened to me
. "
As it turned out, the rapporteur woke up without smell, so he decided to do a swab on Saturday that ended up confirming that he is transiting the disease.
