Broadcast Drama: American Idol contestant caused a lot of hearts to miss a beat, but not just because of her musical performance.
Funka Lagok finished a powerful duet to the hit Tell Him by Celine Dion and Barbara Streisand, along with her co-star Rhonda Pelton, and the two stood on stage excited as judges Katie Perry, Luke Brian and Lionel Richie began analyzing their performance.
A few seconds into Richie's feedback, Gok suddenly collapsed on stage as she pounded her face hard on the stage floor, as can be seen in the attached video.

Shocked Platon rushed to help her friend and Richie and Brian rushed to approach the unconscious contestant.
Gok was eventually evacuated for medical treatment, after which viewers were informed that she had suffered from dehydration and suffered a chin injury that required several stitches.
Richie also made sure to update Platon that despite the judges' criticism and drama, the two moved on to the next stage.
After the episode aired last Monday, which as expected sparked a lively discussion on the net and bounced the ratings, Gook responded yesterday (Tuesday) to a storm on her Instagram and spared no criticism from the show’s production producer and the trolls who attacked her after the broadcast.
Lagok shared with viewers that she felt a disappointment mixed with anger that the production chose to broadcast rather the episode in which she collapses on stage and not her previous performances.
"As an artist, you want to be presented at your best. Every time I was reminded that I was going to be exposed because of this fall, I kept telling myself that I was much more than this fall. I come with much more, those who know me know it and I pray that America and everyone who saw it "It happens that even when we fall in life we get up again and again and fight. This is not the way I wanted to be shown for the first time, but it's okay because I know God has a plan for me that I can't see right now," she said.

Lagok also attacked the trolls who flooded the net with allegations that she faked the fall to produce hype around it.
"Do you really think I would fake such a thing?"
"I have three stitches that prove it was completely real and I'm lucky I did not break my face."
Lagok summed up the experience as embarrassing and traumatic and then aired her partner for the duo Platon, who also had something to say on the issue.
"Visibility is a very important thing," she said.
"It's the thing we maintain and control and when someone takes it from you, chooses for you how it will be presented, it's a serious matter and that's why this decision is annoying. I prayed they would not see it because it made my heart skip a beat in pain when I watched it. I care who you are, "she concluded.
