We have the ability to predict the future.

Here: As soon as you read this article, most accommodations around the country will already be occupied for Passover.

We are talking about hotels, B & Bs, paid campsites, hostels and everything else.

So for the benefit of those who have been lazy, rejected or just have excessive spontaneity - here is a great offer that will take you out of your comfort zone: accommodation in remote parking lots.

Sign car parks are overnight car parks located in the heart of nature.

On the one hand, they are completely free - without spending a penny and without prior coordination.

On the other hand, they are the most indulgent.

They have no showers, regulated tents or even a robber with ice cream.

They simply have a place to sleep under a starry sky.

Some even have a water tap and crescents (niches designed to protect you from strong winds).

The pampering ones even offer ecological services.

The big advantage: come, set up a tent, light a fire (where allowed), sleep and wake up straight to nature.

Just bring a tent and snacks - and you're set.

There are more than 100 sign parking lots throughout the country.

Here are five of the equals, some of which have recently been developed and renovated.

All the parking lots described in this article can be reached by private car.

Har Yehoram overnight campground: A parking lot from the Journal

The reason we refer to Mount Yehoram overnight parking lot as a "parking lot from the Journal" is its momentum of development and upgrading, which has recently made it one of its kind.

Yes, it is still wild and spartan, but it has added wind crescents and even a water tap attached to a large tank, which the Nature and Parks Authority is careful to fill twice a week.

And next to all this - a stunning desert view of the mountains of Eilat.

There are also special hotspots designed for lighting fires.

Anyway, this is a fairly large car park, which can easily accommodate 700 hikers.

In fact, this parking lot is part of a number of overnight parking lots along the "Eilat Mountain Trail" route, which will allow the tougher hikers among you to take a trip of several days in the field.

Getting there:

North of the Ma'ale Eilat road, about 2.5 km east of the Netafim checkpoint.

A relatively new hiking trail awaits you in Nahal Shlomo. This is a circular route that includes a great view of the Eilat mountains and the Gulf of Eilat. The route is about 4.5 km And the level of difficulty is medium.

The starting and ending point in the Nahal Tzafot night camp.

It is mandatory to have a map and a description of the route.

Recently developed and upgraded.
