Covid-19 in France: 248 dead in 24 hours, 4,651 patients in intensive care

The third wave is here for those who still doubt it. According to the latest figures from Public Health France published on Wednesday, the number of patients suffering from severe forms of the disease has increased further.

It stands at 4,651 patients against 4,634 patients the day before.

384 people have been admitted there in the past 24 hours.

A figure up steadily from the lowest recorded on January 7, with 2,573 patients, following the second wave of the fall.

It is also progressing towards the latter's record, which stood at 4,903 on November 16.

However, the number of contaminations in 24 hours has not been communicated.

At the same time, 248 deaths were recorded against 292 people on Tuesday.

As a reminder, since the start of the epidemic 67,748 patients have died in hospital from a Covid-19 infection.

In total, 93,156 people were swept away by the pandemic.

Side vaccination, Tuesday 6,616,899 people had received at least one dose, 2,506,023 had received two.
