Most of the offices of the Dutch parliament in The Hague were evacuated following a bomb scare.
The police announced this, as reported by the international media.
The square in front of the building was also closed.
The alarm went off at 17.30.
"The Binnenhof (the complex that houses the parliament) is currently being evacuated. We are investigating after a bomb threat," wrote a police spokesperson on social media.
Police officers and officers from the Marechaussee, a branch of the armed forces that help secure Parliament, were involved in the operation.
The famous square of Het Plein, east of the complex, has been closed.
