(ANSA) - BERLIN, 25 MAR - "We have common basic values with the US, this is indisputable", but in Europe "we also have our interests".
Angela Merkel said this to the press in Berlin after the European Council, responding to a question about Joe Biden's utterances on China.
"The question with China is how to keep values and interests together," he added.
For the Chancellor, "there must be a European policy on China for this".
"With the US there are many things in common, but there is no identity of views", he concluded.
