FLORENCE - Dante is undoubtedly the protagonist of this week (March 25 is Monday), with many virtual tributes made to the Poet by artists and museums (still closed), but there are also digital events dedicated to the contemporary, such as the Quadriennale d'Arte 2020, or to ancient art, with the Milanese exhibition on painters who lived between the 16th and 17th centuries, and activities that can be enjoyed outdoors.

FLORENCE - From Thursday 25 March, on the occasion of Monday, a video made by the Accademia Gallery and dedicated to the discovery of "The Tree of Life" by the painter and miniaturist Pacino di Buonaguida, a work preserved in the collections of the Gallery, will be available online. which will be exhibited in the exhibition "Honorable And Ancient Citizen Of Florence. The Bargello for Dante" (scheduled for April 21st).

Cecilie Hollberg and Paola D'Agostino will tell the iconography of the work, created by one of the very first illustrators of the Divine Comedy in Florence in the first half of the fourteenth century, respectively, directors of the Accademia Gallery and the Museums of the Bargello.

The video will be online on the YouTube channel and on the Facebook pages of the Accademia Gallery and the Bargello Museums.

Also on 25 March it is possible to follow live on the Facebook page of the Uffizi Gallery the inauguration of the exhibition of "Abete", the monumental sculpture by Giuseppe Penone set up in Piazza della Signoria and dedicated to Dante.

The sculpture, 22 meters high, is an anticipation of "Alberi In-Versi", the exhibition with the works of Penone included in the projects for Dante's celebrations which will be hosted from 1 June at the Uffizi.

ROME - "Fuori", the 2020 Quadrennial of Art, continues its dialogue with the city outside the Palazzo delle Esposizioni with "Corpo diificio", a large light installation created by Norma Jeane for the arches of the visible building from 18 to 8 for the entire closing period.

The online schedule also continues to discover the works of the 43 artists of the exhibition, through virtual tours and weekly columns available on the website and on the official Quadriennale social channels.

CARPI - The exhibition "Caròn dimonio" will be inaugurated online on 25 March in the Sala dei Trionfi of the Palazzo dei Pio until December (it can be visited in person when it will be possible to reopen).

The exhibition, designed for Dante's celebrations, is dedicated to the depiction of Charon found in the fifteenth-century fresco in the Sala dei Trionfi and also offers some insights into Dante's Inferno.

MILAN - The live guided tours of the Milanese exhibition "The Ladies of Art. Stories of women between '500 and' 600" set up at Palazzo Reale continue, to get to know the masterpieces of 34 artists, including Artemisia Gentileschi, Lavinia Fontana and Sofonisba Anguissola, and the details of their lives: the next scheduled appointments are March 25 with the art historian Leonardo Catalano and March 28 with the art expert Sergio Gaddi.

MULAZZO (MS) / BOLANO (SP) - #esserespazio is the title of the public art intervention created by the artist Massimo Uberti, created for the Municipality of Mulazzo and the Municipality of Bolano, thanks to the support of the Carispezia Foundation, on the occasion of the Celebrations Dantesque.

Unraveled on several places (Castello di Lusuolo, Torre di Mulazzo and Largo dei Giustiniani di Ceparana), the project, which opens on 25 March for Dantedì, has as its fil rouge the reinterpretation of some benches, regenerated through the gold leaf.

In fact, gold is the color that represents infinity, a metaphor for the encounter between Light and the Divine, elements present in Dante's poetics.

LUGANO - Twenty-two works of painting and sculpture, ranging from the 1920s to the present, all linked by a "material" dimension, make up "Terre", the setting with which the Giancarlo and Danna Olgiati Collection reopens the exhibition season.

Scheduled from March 27 to June 6, the thematic exhibition welcomes works signed by fourteen artists - including Zoran Mušič, Enrico Prampolini, Eliseo Mattiacci and Anselm Kiefer -, some of which have never been exhibited before.
