Netflix is producing a film based on its comic book series.
Brutal action hits like “John Wick”, “Deadpool” or the Amazon series “The Boys” * are currently on everyone's lips.
No wonder Netflix is jumping on this bandwagon.
The streaming service has secured the rights to Keanu Reeves own comic
"BRZRKR"
(pronounced: "Berserker").
Netflix announced on Twitter that a film and an animated series are planned.
The cast of the main character shouldn't surprise anyone: Keanu Reeves slips into the role of the violent demigod.
Depending on how bloodthirsty the makers make the planned adaptation, John Wick could look pretty old compared to the berserk.
“BRZRKR” soon on Netlix: That's what the comic is about
Of course, Keanu Reeves didn't draw the comic himself.
Instead, the idea for the story comes from him and from the bestselling comic book author Matt Kindt ("Suicide Squad", "Justice League of America").
Marvel comic book artist Ron Garney was responsible for the illustration.

What is “BRZRKR” about?
At the center of the plot is an 80,000 year old demigod who is under a terrible curse.
This causes him to commit acts of violence non-stop and gradually lose his mind.
In order not to have to surrender completely to his fate, the warrior named "B" has found a reasonably acceptable solution to his problem: He works with the US government to fight the most brutal of all criminals.
In return, B hopes to learn the reasons for its existence and to be able to end the curse once and for all.

On Twitter, Netflix announced the start of production of a "BRZRKR" film.
Keanu Reeves will not only play the main character, but will also speak the protagonist in the animated series.
