And yet they usually earn little: The hairdressing profession is one of the worst-paid training courses in Germany.
But even with professional experience, hairdressers regularly end up at the bottom of the salary rankings.

Hairdresser salary during training: how much do hairdresser trainees earn?
Those who complete their training in a barber shop bound by a collective agreement are
paid
according to the
tariff
, which varies depending on the federal state.
Otherwise, the salon operator sets the training salary.
Since January 1, 2020, the
minimum wage for training
has been the lower limit for the training
salary
of hairdressers
.
During the three-year apprenticeship, the salary increases according to a fixed percentage after each year of apprenticeship:
