More than a year after the onset of the crisis, the situation on the labor market remains as unstable as ever ... As proof, with an increase of 0.6% - or 23,000 additional people - the number of job seekers in the category A of Pôle Emploi started to rise again in February, according to the latest figures from the statistical service of the Ministry of Labor, the Dares.
An increase that wants to be worrying, since it concerns all age groups (young people, medians and seniors), and that it is registered after an improvement of 0.9% in January, or 34,600 people less.
If the figures remain incomparable to those of March or April - with an increase of 240,000 and 800,000 people - they are synonymous with a sluggish and wait-and-see job market.
Because until then, no trend of improvement is really visible.

If category A increases, categories B and C - which group together job seekers who exercised a reduced activity during the month - decrease by 0.9%, which represents 20,800 people.
In total, and therefore all categories combined, the number of job seekers in February reached 6,709,400 in February.
A figure slightly up over one month, or +2700.
