A player from the German national team tested positive for Covid-19.
This was announced by the German Football Association, which did not specify whether the event will have consequences for tonight's match against Iceland scheduled in Duisburg.
According to the Bild newspaper, this is Mönchengladbach forward Jonas Hoffmann (two appearances).
"The players are confined to their rooms," Bild reported in the morning.
"Players are very likely to be retested" before the kick-off of the 2022 World Cup qualifier match (8.45pm).
Discussions are currently underway with local health authorities to determine what to do next.
