The Minister of Health of the City of Buenos Aires, Fernán Quirós, said on the morning of this Friday that
"surely next week"
the district will begin to summon citizens from 70 to 79 years of age for their vaccination against the coronavirus .
As estimated by the Buenos Aires official in dialogue with radio La Red, this weekend the Federal Capital will have received the number of doses necessary to
complete the inoculation of those over 80 years of age
, and next week could announce the opening of the registration for who are between 70 and 79 years old.
At the same time, regarding the postponement in the application of the second doses, Quirós once again highlighted
the convenience that this strategy has been showing so far
in a context of few vaccines.
In this sense, he pointed out that it has been shown that the social impact is greater by vaccinating more people with one dose, instead of completing the two doses in a smaller number of inhabitants.
News in development.
