American writer and screenwriter Larry McMartrey passed away tonight (Friday) at the age of 84, the New York Times reported.
McMartrey was known for his award-winning books and screenplays including The Affordable Conditions based on a book of the same name he authored in 1975, which won five Oscars and the three Brockback Mountain Awards - one of which was awarded to McMartrey and co-writer Diane Osana.
In addition to these awards, McMartry has won the Pulitzer Prize for Literature for his work A Lone Dove.
