(ANSA) - NEW YORK, MARCH 26 - Larry McMurtry, the prolific American writer and screenwriter, winner of a Pulitzer for the novel "A Flight of Doves" (Lonesome Dove) and an Oscar with Diana Ossana for the script of "Brokeback Mountain ' by Ang Lee, died aged 84. This was announced by Amanda Lundberg, a spokesperson for the family, without specifying where she hates what the writer died. For "Brokeback Mountain" McMurtry had also won a Bafta and a Golden Globe. From some of his own. novels were based on successful films including "Hud the Wild", "The Last Show" and "Desire of Tenderness". (ANSA).
