Entitled The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, this new action-adventure game will center its plot on the iconic character from the universe of JRR Tolkien.

This will allow players to discover some of the events that took place before the story of The Lord of the Rings.

They will begin their adventure in the year 3017, in the skin of this ancient Hobbit altered by his precious One Ring.

Incarcerated in the prison of Barad-pression, in the heart of Mordor, they will have to try to escape while resisting the impulses due to the double personality of Gollum.

Although the gameplay is quite linear and based largely on infiltration, it will also vary depending on the level, including original platform phases.

Lord of the Rings Gollum: Everything you need to know

The opposition between the two facets of the character, Sméagol and Gollum, will have a direct consequence on the gameplay.

You will thus have to face many choices that will influence the unfolding of your story.

To succeed in escaping from the lands of Sauron you will be able to count on your sense "Sound Vision", which allows you to see the enemies thanks to your hearing.

The sets are taken from illustrations from the JRR Tolkien saga.

Mordor will therefore have a vertical architecture, which will allow you to take several routes so as not to be spotted.

Of course, players are hoping that Gollum's path crosses that of the Ring, accompanied by Frodo and Sam, in one of the many cutscenes.
