ROME, 25 MAR - Discover what can be considered one of the first forms of ante litteram selfies, the self-portrait of the French painter Jean Fouquet in 1455, alongside the first group selfie, in 1920 in New York, with 5 men who took themselves a photo on the terrace of a building in the city.
But also try to see what it feels like to immortalize yourself as you fall into the void from a skyscraper, swim in a colored pool with 15,000 balls or walk upside down on the ceiling of your house.
Between curiosities and original activities, there will really be fun in the Selfie Museum, the first in Italy (the others are in Los Angeles, Dubai and Miami), which will be born in the Zoomarine marine park, just outside Rome.
The museum, which will be ready for the beginning of next season and which represents one of Zoomarine's flagship novelties for the post-covid reopening, therefore celebrates one of the most widespread contemporary passions, if we consider that every day they are uploaded on social media about 100 million selfies.
Available to the public a playful-educational path of 400 square meters with 25 workstations (open and sanitized) where visitors can take unusual photos without limits, but also learn the history and culture of the selfie.
Furthermore, you can rely on the sympathy of the museum's ambassador, the dolphin Selfino, who is also passionate about selfies, ready to guide visitors throughout the interactive path and invite them to publish photos on their profiles and that of Zoomarine by following the hashtag # zoomarineroma #zmselfino #zmselfiemuseoSelfino.
