The president of the EU Commission, Ursula von derLeyen, writes on Twitter, welcoming "with favor" the green light from the European Medicines Agency (Ema) to the Dutch site of Halix for AstraZeneca and the German site of Marburg for BioNTech-Pfizer.
"Having more production sites means giving Europeans faster access to vaccines," he points out.
