(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 27 - A 4-year-old girl was raped, then strangled and thrown into a sewer in the Pakistani province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
This was reported by the police.
The little girl had disappeared from home last Wednesday: the next day some people found her dead in the sewer.
The body was then transported to the hospital for an autopsy which revealed signs of violence.
"The little girl was raped and then strangled to death," confirmed the coroner's report.
According to doctors, the girl was also tortured and had bruises on her back, knees, nose and other parts of her body. Police officer Suhail Khan said law enforcement had collected blood samples from at least 400 suspects in the area, including the girl's relatives. Last year, more than 180 cases of child abuse, in some cases associated with homicide, were reported in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. (HANDLE).
