To commemorate five years since the death of the Minneapolis kid, Paisley Park will exceptionally open its doors to the public on April 21.
This huge complex of rehearsal and recording studios created by Prince in his native Minnesota in 1986 has hosted many artists, including funk pope George Clinton.

The multi-instrumentalist has also recorded several records there, notably
Parade
and his legendary single
Kiss
.

Prince's passing remains incomprehensible to all of us
,” Paisley Park manager Alan Seiffert said in a statement.
“
We celebrate his life and legacy every day at Paisley Park, a place Prince wanted to share with the world.
So, on this special day, we will celebrate the incredible strength and inspiration that Prince represents in the lives of people and we will open our doors for them to honor him
”.

The event will be free and supervised by strict health standards, with a mask and timed visits for a maximum of four people.
The public, who can already reserve places on the internet, will be able to contemplate the funeral urn of his “
violet majesty
” presented in the atrium of the place.

Guests are also encouraged to leave flowers, keepsakes and other commemorative items in front of the Statue of the Symbol of Love, outside the main entrance to Paisley Park,
" the statement said.
