Attack on Titan: What will happen to the series after the finale of episode 16?

2021-03-28T09:10:24.495Z

This Sunday, March 28 at 6:34 p.m., fans of Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan) will watch the broadcast of the last episode of Shingeki no Kyojin live.

Every week, many spectators go to the Wakanim platform to watch Attack on Titan simultaneously with Japanese television.

Following an earthquake on March 14, the NHK channel was forced to postpone the broadcast of episode 14. Last Sunday, fans were therefore able to enjoy two episodes in a row.

Full of suspense, they only reinforced the impatience of the public to discover the 16th and final episode, which will be unveiled tonight.

It is not yet known whether the series will be renewed or if a sequel could see the light of day.

Indeed, the 4 seasons will not have been enough to cover the whole manga, which takes place over more than thirty volumes and the conclusion of which will be published on April 9, 2021.

What future for the Attack on Titan anime?

No information was given as to the creation of a new season following this final episode.

However, there is a rumor circulating about the arrival of a movie that would follow up on the events of the anime.

The story could thus continue in the form of a feature film after the publication of the last volume of the manga.

Fan sites also evoke a potential trilogy thought for the big screen.

Of course, these are just guesses, but in view of the success of the anime, it is possible that the producers will find a solution to keep the adaptation going until they have covered the entire plot. .
