In the midst of the difficulty in obtaining vaccines, the Federal Health Council issued this Friday the recommendation to
postpone the application of the second doses for three months.
This guideline "aims to vaccinate as
many people as possible
with the first dose to maximize the benefits of vaccination and reduce the impact of hospitalizations and mortality," as reported by the Presidency.
Each jurisdiction must decide now whether to apply it.
Until this Sunday, according to the data published by the Public Vaccination Monitor,

of the different vaccines that have arrived in the country
were applied
.
Almost 3 million people received a single injection - the health policy that is now expected to be extended - and just over 660,000 completed the immunization schedule with the two doses.
In the morning, meanwhile, the KLM flight arrived that brought
218,000 doses
of the vaccine to Argentina jointly developed by the University of Oxford and the AstraZeneca laboratory.
