On 'change of pace' vaccines. 3 million doses on the way. Son: 'Nobody gets left behind'. From tomorrow more than half of the country will be in the red zone, with Calabria, Tuscany and Valle d'Aosta being added to the 7 regions and the autonomous province of Trento where the toughest restrictions are already in force, while Lazio returns in orange from Tuesday (ANSA)

Italy remains closed until May and

from tomorrow more than half of the country will be in the red zone, with Calabria, Tuscany and Valle d'Aosta

being added to the 7 regions and the autonomous province of Trento in which they are already in force the toughest restrictions, while Lazio is back in orange.

Already from today and until April 4,

five municipalities of

Basilicata will be in the "red zone",

according to the decision of the President of the Region, Vito Bardi, with an ordinance.

The red zone, with aggravation of the "contagion containment measures", will concern Picerno, Forenza, Episcopia and Teana (Potenza);

and Pomarico (Matera).

The Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza, has signed new ordinances in force

starting from Monday 29 March

.

The ordinances provide for the

passage in the red area for the Regions of Calabria, Tuscany and Val d'Aosta

and

renew the measures for the Regions of Emilia Romagna, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Lombardy, Marche, Piedmont, Puglia, Veneto and the Autonomous Province of Trento

.

The Lazio Region, on the other hand, passes into the orange area from Tuesday 30 March to the expiry of the current ordinance.

And between tomorrow and Easter almost 3 million doses of the anti Covid vaccine will arrive in Italy

: in a single week more than were delivered in 45 days between January and February.

An "important quantity" that marks "the actual change of pace" in the immunization of Italians, the emergency commissioner Francesco Paolo Figliuolo is unbalanced and then warns: now we must all work together so that "no one is left behind".

After the delays and non-deliveries by the pharmaceutical companies, the stop and go of Astrazeneca and the reminders of Prime Minister Mario Draghi to the Regions to respect the indications of the government on the priority categories, the mass vaccination campaign that will allow Italy to exit from the nightmare of the virus it seems to have started running.

"The vaccination campaign is the country's priority" repeats the Minister of Health Roberto Speranza when the daily bulletin still marks almost 24 thousand cases and 380 victims in one day, 3,635 hospitalized in intensive care and a positive rate of 6.6% .

"We are making up for delays - adds the Minister of Regional Affairs Mariastella Gelmini - in the coming weeks we will do more and better".

Now, therefore, it is essential to accelerate, starting with the immunization of the over 80% given that of the 4,639,931 who belong to this age group, only 983,320 were vaccinated even with the booster, 23%.

But in order not to slow down it is first of all necessary to have the doses available, which is what the governors accused of having favored specific categories at the expense of those provided for by the national plan have been asking for a long time.

Figliuolo is sure that about 3 million will arrive next week: over one million Pfizer, over 500 thousand of Moderna and one million and 300 thousand of Astrazeneca.

Numbers that, if confirmed, will ensure that Pfizer and Moderna will have respected the deliveries set by the Ministry of Health plan for the first quarter, while the Anglo-Swedish company would be 'missing' for about one and a half million doses, given that had 5,352,250 promises.

Once delivered, however, the vaccines must be administered and to do so, the organizational machine needs to work smoothly.

For this reason, the meeting on Monday between Prime Minister Mario Draghi, Minister Gelmini, Commissioner Figliuolo and the Regions will serve to ease the tensions of recent days and to underline the need for maximum collaboration between Rome and the territories.

The same Son repeated it.

"There is no disparity" between Regions, "the goal is to do practical things, improve together, seek harmony and what unites to improve. Nobody should feel cheated, now we must do more and together".

The Commissioner's strategy envisages a double track: large hubs and vaccination centers in cities, and mobile task forces to cover all of Italy and reach the most isolated countries and the most inaccessible areas.

A "capillary" coverage of the territory in which the churches that the CEI has already made available will also be fundamental.

The task forces are already operational in Molise and Basilicata and will be taken in other regions while in his visit to Calabria and Sicily Figliuolo talked about new hubs in the Fiera di Catanzaro, in Siderno, Corigliano Rossano, in the sports hall of Messina and the strengthening of vaccination lines in the military hospital of the city of the Strait.

And the Red Cross will open new hubs in Milan, Sardinia and Rome (in Lazio the administrations for the 68-69 age group are opening with 40 thousand bookings already registered), in Tor vergata and at the 'Porte di Roma' shopping center , which at full capacity will be able to vaccinate between 1,500 and 3,500 people per day.

In Treviso, on the other hand, starting tomorrow, free access will be tested without reservations: the almost 4,800 citizens of the province born in 1936 will be able to go to the four vaccination points in the area.

It is necessary to improve and increase the administration system throughout the country, Figliuolo repeats, so that "rapidly homogeneous results at the national level" can be reached.

In short, no more quarrels, it's time to run.
