The parish priest of Bonassola (LaSpezia), Giulio Mignani, does not bless the palms as a form of protest against the document of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith which prohibits the blessing of the unions of homosexual couples.
Don Giulio, who has repeatedly sided in favor of the rainbow families, explained his protest during the homily of the Palm Sunday mass, which opens Holy Week for Christians.
