The
National Civil Aviation Administration
(ANAC) reported on Saturday March 27 at night that "all international regular operations services, which were approved as of March 29, 2021, will be
rescheduled, for the same scheduled days
, but at
different times
".
The objective of this measure, which is added to the suspension of flights from Brazil, Mexico and Chile (in addition to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, which was already in force since the end of December 2020), is to establish a
sufficient separation
, a window between the arrivals, "that allows the adequate fulfillment of the new sanitary protocols".
As noted by
Paola Tamburelli
, head of the agency on Twitter -and also replicated in a statement on the official website-, "the modification aims EXCLUSIVELY at generating a distance between each arrival of around one
hundred and twenty minutes
, KEEPING THE FLIGHTS".

Faced with the possibility of thinking about a reversal in the schedule of regular flights, the official pointed out: "THERE IS NO CHANGE OF PHASE, or any other measure in addition to those already announced by the Chief of Staff, but a
mere rearrangement and redistribution
of flights in order to comply with the corresponding health measures ".

New measures
It must be borne in mind that the new measures include the mandatory testing of all travelers arriving in Argentina (this weekend they began with passengers from Brazil, Mexico and Chile, but
as of Monday 29 it will apply to all
, whether they are Argentines. or resident foreigners or with express authorization to enter the country).

In case of
negative results
, the passenger retires to his home, where he must comply with an isolation until a second test is carried out after seven days.
But if it
tests
positive
, the traveler (s) will be
isolated in a hotel
until verifying by genomic sequencing tests which variant it is, especially if it is one of the most dangerous variants such as the British and Manaus.
If they are strains of community circulation, they will be able to continue with the isolation in their houses.
