Robert Lewandowski, Poland and Bayern Munich striker with injured right knee, will miss Wednesday's 2022 World Cup qualifying match against England, scheduled a week before the Champions League quarter-finals against Paris SG.
The Polish Football Association (PZPN) said that "recovery from this type of injury usually takes five to ten days".
Lewandowski, who came out yesterday in the 63rd minute in the match against Andorra (won 3-0), "will return to his club, where he will continue his rehabilitation".
Already scoring 35 Bundesliga goals this season, five points off Gerd Müller's record, Lewandowski played in Thursday's 3-3 draw against Hungary, as well as in the match against Andorra. His injury adds to the difficulties of Poland, already burdened by two positive tests at Covid-19
