So many new terms have come into our lives in the last year.

"Corona", "adhesion promoter", "closure" and how can it be without - "the Swedish model".

Whatever you say, in Sweden things are done differently, in their own style.

For example, did you know that within two years the country intends to completely eliminate cash and switch to using digital payments only?

So too in the whole issue of treating the corona plague - the Swedes and in general, the major countries in Scandinavia, including Denmark and Norway, tried to act in their own way and the results were interesting.

This "Swedish model", which many were in favor of and others vehemently opposed, focused on trying to avoid as many locksmiths as those who, unfortunately, we have become so accustomed to in Israel over the past year and leave schools as open as possible, another point that has hurt Israeli families recently.

These decisions cost the Swedes quite a few cases of infection and sometimes it seemed that the reasonable border was crossed and indeed, Sweden changed direction at some point and began to act in a slightly more similar way to the rest of the world, but today, many experts argue, the same decisions made in the model allowed Sweden to enjoy relative plague control. , Prevented the local economy from collapsing as has happened in so many countries.

As mentioned, Sweden is not the only Scandinavian country that made headlines in the corona months.

After a dozen cases of infection in neighboring Corona were reported in neighboring Denmark last winter by residents of the winter (better known as mink, the raw material of luxury furs), there was concern that the virus had mutated and as a result, Prime Minister Frederickson ordered the destruction of all 16 million miners in the country. And in fact, eliminate the fur industry.

The big concern was that the mutation would be able to deal with the corona vaccine and lower its effectiveness.

Eventually, the mutation probably became extinct, but only after millions of mines were buried in the ground.

That event, which the whole world was talking about, was just another in a series of unconventional decisions made by Scandinavian countries when it came to dealing with the virus.

Today, as mentioned, it is possible to start judging the results and a look at the numbers shows how Sweden continues to face the corona challenge and sometimes experiences increases in the number of infections in the population (and yet, for a long time it remained far below Israel for example).

Denmark and Norway, on the other hand, are in a completely different place.

Although there was a significant jump in Denmark in mid-December, after long months of calm, the country was able to take control of the situation quickly and today Denmark is close to Norway, where the corona has been treated remarkably.

With a population of about 5.5 million, there were only about 650 deaths in Norway in the entire Corona.

With the right discipline and financial assistance from the government led by Arena Solberg, Norway has managed to stay on its feet in the past year no less and perhaps even better than Denmark and Sweden.

In all that is said about vaccines, the Scandinavian countries are in a good place and are currently vaccinating their citizens in an amount about three times higher than the world average.

As across the globe, the road of Sweden, Denmark and Norway to a full recovery from the virus that has changed the world in the last year is still long, but these three beautiful countries certainly look on the right track.

What did we learn from the Swedish model?

About a year ago, just after the plague broke out, Forbes magazine published its global happiness rating and no one was surprised to find Denmark in second place, Norway in fifth and Sweden in seventh (along with other neighbors, such as Finland leading the ranking and Iceland in fourth).

Creative ways of working and helping citizens and residents lead to the high quality of life in Scandinavia and this was also reflected in this challenging year.
