(ANSA) - NEW YORK, MARCH 29 - Hollywood's ostracism continues against Armie Hammer, the star of Luca Guadagnino's 'Call me by your name' accused of sexual harassment and at least one rape.
The actor was ousted from another movie, 'Billion Dollar Spy', reports the Variety website exclusively.
Hammer was supposed to star opposite Mads Mikkelsen in the drama set in the Cold War years with the direction of British filmmaker Amma Asante. 'Billion Dollar Spy' was the last film for which Hammer still had an active contract: every other studio dealing with the actor has pierced this point. The sequel of 'Call me by your name' is still theoretically at stake, but beyond the interest expressed weeks ago by the parties involved there is still no script. Guadagnino, engaged in another project, did not respond to Variety's request for comment.
Hammer's situation escalated when ten days ago a woman identified only by Effie's name accused him of raping her for four hours, claiming he feared for her life. (HANDLE).
