He was opposed to the dismantling of the world number three in publishing. He is replaced by Pierre Leroy, a faithful of Arnaud Lagardère

The interview too many.

By speaking in Le Monde to oppose any dismantling of Hachette Livre, Arnaud Nourry has signed his end.

Less than a week after taking this position, he disembarked from the head of the publishing group which he raised to third world rank through redemptions including that of Warner Book and Albert René editions which publish the Asterix.

Arnaud Lagardère, the boss of the Lagardère group, has decided to replace him at the head of Hachette Livre with the most loyal manager of his group Pierre Leroy, co-Manager of Lagardère SCA.

The latter is appointed Chairman and CEO of Hachette Livre.

Fabrice Bakhouche is appointed Deputy Managing Director.

Arnaud Lagardère declares: "I would like to thank Arnaud Nourry for his commitment and for the remarkable work accomplished during all these years in favor of the growth of Hachette Livre".

The boss of the Lagardère group is currently negotiating with its two main shareholders: Bernard Arnault, who supports him within the head holding company, and Vincent Bolloré, the Lagardère group's largest shareholder.

The latter would like to buy a large part of Hachette Livre to merge with its subsidiary Editis.

A movement to which Arnaud Nourry was deeply opposed.
