Vanessa, the widow of basketball star Kobe Bryant who was killed in a helicopter crash along with their daughter and seven other people, continues to star in the headlines long months after their deaths.

Having already managed to open fronts in front of rapper Mick Mill and actress Owen Rachel Wood, now Vanessa Bryant is also coming out against horror.

According to TMZ website, Vanessa's mother, Sophia Lane, has been waging a stubborn legal war against her ex-husband for the past decade, claiming that her alimony claim was unfounded since Kobe Vanessa promised to take care of her financial future and support her, and even bought a $ 1 million home for her.

Sofia appealed her divorcee's claims, claiming that her daughter and son-in-law had never officially undertaken to support her and that everything they had given her was done out of kindness when she never asked for or relied on them for support.

Sophia, on the other hand, claims that Kobe has orally pledged to take care of her financially, a statement that Vanessa's legal team is now coming out against her claiming that she is not legally acceptable and vague to be enforced.

Sofia further alleges that Vanessa and Kobe violated California labor laws because they did not provide her with food and rest breaks and did not pay her minimum wage for her childcare services.

"Sofia has never been a full-time employee. She is the children's grandmother who occasionally helped her daughter and son-in-law in caring for and caring for grandchildren and spent time with them," Vanessa's legal team challenged the mother's demand for financial support from her groom's millions.

The legal team added that as someone who is now requesting a percentage of the groom's estate, Sofia should have filed a lawsuit on the matter up to a year after Kobi's death.

Failure to do so, her claim must be dismissed, they argued.

Currently, a decision on the matter has not yet been made by the court.

As you may recall, basketball star Kobe Bryant, 41, was killed in a helicopter crash along with his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven other people in January 2020.
