A month after the intriguing teasers, the moment of truth has arrived.

Last night (Sunday), the opening gala of "Tel Aviv Thyme Fashion Week" was broadcast on "Reshet 13" and we were privileged to watch from start to finish all the interesting, fashionable and exciting moments planned for this evening.

The photos of the Fashion Week were taken at the Eretz Israel Museum in Tel Aviv, between the exhibition halls and the open spaces of the place.

Every year for Fashion Week, which this year celebrates a decade, there is a different agenda he seeks to promote.

After several years of "changing the ideal of beauty", this year, against the backdrop of the decline of the corona plague thanks to vaccines, the main and prominent agenda leading the fashion week is the theme of sustainability.

On the eve of the salute to Shira Isakov

We start from the end, from the most exciting and greatest moment of this evening - the salute display to Shira Iscove, the woman who was saved from death by her husband and became a symbol of the struggle against violence against women.

The eve of the salute to Iscov was an evening of strapless dresses, in protest of her painful story that she threw away a strapless dress at her husband's instruction because he did not like it - and only to keep the house safe.

Iscove walked the stage in a white strapless dress designed for her by Vivi Blaisch, with 20 prominent women in Israel - from politicians, through models, actresses, journalists and more - all in strapless dresses.

All strapless dresses designed for this evening will be offered for sale in the boutique of the "Female Spirit" association, and all proceeds will be for the benefit of the association that works for economic independence for women affected by violence.

Among others on stage were Rita, who also performed the song "Stronger than the Wind", in a pink dress by Dror Contento, Lehi Lapid in a dress by Elian Stolro and the one and only Gila Almagor in a dress by Ariel Toledano.

The gala evening was hosted by Bar Refaeli and Moti Rape, both wearing tuxedos designed for them by Shai Shalom.

Awarding prizes to Noa Kirl and Doreen Frankfurt

Another part of the opening gala was a two-award ceremony.

The first is veteran fashion designer Doreen Frankfurt, who took the stage to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award from Murphy and Rape.

As part of the award ceremony, past models took to the stage together with Frankfurt, who presented items in her design, including Heli Goldenberg, Shirley Glick, Yael Reich, Smadar Kilczynski and more.

The second prize was awarded to Noa Kirl, and is the "Changing the Ideal of Beauty" prize.

Kirl took to the stage wearing a white ASIA suit plus a wide-brimmed hat.

"Noa proves that success requires talent, hard work, desire and especially self-belief in who you are, regardless of your size, your skin color and not your height," Rape said at the time of the award.

Receiving the award, Kirl said that "there is no more important message to convey to all the people who support me and in my way: Love yourself just as you are. Each and every one of us is beautiful and wonderful. Believe in yourself and your way, to be beautiful and successful unrelated to our virtues."

"Being beautiful and successful has nothing to do with our virtues."

On the track - a display of sustainability and masks

As part of the desire to promote the issue of sustainability, on the eve of the gala a complete display was dedicated to the important issue.

10 fashion designers created a model in digital printing in collaboration with the company "Thyme Digital" and these were presented on the runway for diverse women and men, so as not to abandon the idea of "changing the ideal of beauty".

Among others, Eden Pines walked the runway in a model of Yankee and Nataf, Yael Reich wore Sasson Kedem, a fitness minister with Efrat Klig and Dana Berger presented a model of Anok to Vogue.

Another show that took place on the eve of the gala was the "Mask Show", which is a tribute to the challenging corona year, which made it very difficult for the fashion industry - and in general, for everyone.

Students of the Shenkar School of Fashion Design have designed models that they believe represent the past year.

Each model was presented with a face mask, the accessory that we all try to love.

On stage, Titi Ainao walked in the model of Roi Hood, Natalie Dadon in the model of Ribi Avivi, Fay in the model of Yanki and Nataf and Daphne Barel in the model of Liora Argan.
