Technological Sovereignty: Europe is crushed by Chinese and Anglo-American players

In technologies related to 5G and Edge Computing, no one keeps pace with China in terms of specialization: if the United States and Japan manage to carve out an important role, in Europe only the United Kingdom, fresh from Brexit, keeps pace.

And in the EU niche, Italy lags behind Germany and France.

The Centro Economia Digitale - CED has produced a Position Paper that highlights the theme of "Technological Sovereignty" and the need to adopt a strategy that relaunches the role of our country and the entire Old Continent on the world market.

This criticality will be discussed on Tuesday 30 March at 11:00

during the digital event dedicated to the presentation of the Position Paper.

With Rosario Cerra, founder and president of the CED, will be attended by Giancarlo Giorgetti, Minister of Economic Development, Vittorio Colao, Minister for technological innovation and digital transition, Vincenzo Amendola, Undersecretary to the Presidency of the Council for European Affairs, and Antonio Parenti, head of the European Commission Representation in Italy.

The meeting, which will last about an hour and a half, will also include a round table in which the main Italian technology companies will participate.
