This Tuesday the tenth flight of Aerolineas Argentinas will arrive from Russia with
300 thousand doses
of the Sputnik V vaccine against the coronavirus.
The amount was confirmed by the Government through a statement.
Meanwhile, it was confirmed that at noon
another flight will depart to China
to search for the second shipment of Sinopharm vaccines.
The arrival in Ezeiza of the plane coming from Moscow is scheduled for
15.30
, while the departure to Beijing will be at
12.50
.
This new batch of Russian vaccines consists of
250,000 doses of component 1
and 50,000 doses of component 2, according to official sources.
This composition is in line with the new recommendation of the national vaccination plan, which aims to make the first application to as many people as possible, and defer the second (which must be applied after 21 days).
Until this Tuesday, according to official data, 3,073,630 received the first dose, while only 670 thousand people received the two injections that complete the immunization plan.

With the arrival of these 300,000, Argentina will have
5,768,540 doses
of the different vaccines that have arrived in the country since January.
The figure is still well below the
21.1 million
expected to be received between December and March, according to the schedule published in late January in the national vaccination plan, which was later affected by delays in deliveries.
In recent days the arrival of doses has accelerated.
Between Friday 19 and Friday 26, 1,200,000 doses of Sputnik V arrived on three Aerolineas Argentinas flights.
The Government reported that the delivery of another
two million doses
is expected this week
, including the 218,000 of AstraZeneca received from the COVAX mechanism.
Added to this is the flight that will depart to China to remove a new shipment of the Sinopharm vaccine.
The number of doses has not yet been confirmed, but last week Minister Carla Vizzotti spoke of "one million".
Flight AR1050 will depart from Ezeiza at 12.50 and will make a stopover in Madrid, from where it will depart for Beijing.
There it will remain until 3.15am on Thursday (local time in Beijing) to land, after a previous stopover at Barajas Airport, on Thursday at 7.10pm in Buenos Aires.
Meanwhile, it transpired that this Wednesday
another flight could depart to Russia -the eleventh-
, but this service has not yet been confirmed by official sources.
