(ANSA) - GORIZIA, MARCH 30 - Over 60 million face masks, lying in warehouses throughout the national territory, and waiting to be distributed, were seized this morning by the Guardia di Finanza of the Gorizia company because they do not comply with current regulations and dangerous for health.
The operation stems from a previous investigation by the Prosecutor of Gorizia on the personal protective equipment assigned to the health authorities of the Fvg.
This is the residual supply, for about 250 million pieces, inherited from the previous management of the national structure for the emergency.
The laboratory analyzes, carried out by the Fiamme Gialle, showed that in some cases the filtering capacity of the seized masks was found to be 10 times lower than what was declared, with consequent risks for the health personnel who had used them in the false belief that they could guarantee adequate protection. .
The Gorizia financiers are acquiring documentation and IT data from the National Agency for the Attraction of Investments and Development of Impresa SpA (Invitalia Spa), to reconstruct the responsibilities in the supply chain and verify how many masks of the same type have been used or are still in use on all the national territory.
The current staff of the Commissioner for the emergency has provided full cooperation for today's seizure of the 60 million Dpi.
