The logo chosen to represent the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics is 'Futura'. The announcement was made during a digital press conference on Facebook, on the Milan Cortina 2026 page, at the Salone d'onore del Coni in connection with the Lombard branch of Milan-Cortina.
The tricolor evolution of the 'Futura' logo will be the symbol of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Paralympics, with the two numbers 2 and 6 shaded in the three colors red, blue and green of the Italian Paralympic Committee.
Colors also inspired by the Northern Lights of 2003 in Cortina and the desire to convey the character of inclusion, as explained by Cip number one Luca Pancalli: "They will be the most beautiful Olympics in history and in which we will all identify. Let's not talk about the diversity of a logo but the variation - said Pancalli at the presentation at the Coni Hall of Honor - The narrative key is beautiful, as the white cannot be perceived by visually impaired athletes, we wanted to respect the possibility for them to recognize themselves in a logo that will accompany them in their memory ".
'Futura', a symbol composed of the numbers 2 and 6 in ice color, prevailed over 'Dado', depicting a dice with the numbers 2 and 6 in red and green surmounted by a stylized blue snowflake.
This was decided by an online popular vote, for the first time in history, which collected more than 850 thousand votes.
Futura won with 75% of the votes.
