(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, MARCH 31 - "The benefits of the AstraZeneca vaccine outweigh the risks". This was reiterated by the director of the EMA, Emer Cooke, stressing that "we continue to monitor the safety and effectiveness of all vaccines".
"We do not contraindicate the AstraZeneca vaccine for pregnant women, but we advise them to see their doctor before taking any vaccine", he added, reiterating that "there is no evidence to justify restrictions on the use of the vaccine in different age groups".
"Our analysis of the very rare cases of thrombosis continues and the conclusions will come next week," he added.
