French President Emmanuel Macron has announced that schools will be closed for three weeks as one of the measures to reduce infections. It will also force non-essential businesses to close and travel between regions will be prohibited. These measures will take effect on April 3. The European Medicines Agency has insisted that it has not identified any specific risk factors that would establish a link between thrombi and the AstraZeneca vaccine. The Ministry of Health has notified 8,534 new infections and has added 154 deaths to the official count. The accumulated incidence stands at 152 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days, which once again places the country within high risk, according to Health parameters.
