Ariana Grande joins as a referee for the next season of American "The Weiss".
The star announced this to her 228 million followers on Instagram: "Surprise! I'm beyond excited and honored to join De Weiss in the 21st season!"
Grande (27) will join referees John Legend, Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton and replace Nick Jonas, who served as referee in the final season of reality.
Granada's casting is an impressive achievement for NBC and the show's producers.
The 20th season of The American "The Voice" is currently airing, and there are two seasons every year.
"De Weiss" is considered the most popular musical reality show among American viewers, and it has also garnered four Emmy Awards in the last decade, however, the show has so far failed to grow a truly successful star among the contestants throughout its 20 seasons.
Grande, who began her career as a star in youth series, has been at her professional peak in recent years.
