On the occasion of the start of filming of the intriguing new series "Obi-Wan Kenobi", Disney Studios kindly released new details pertaining to the plot and cast.

According to fresh information, the series, which will be streamed on the Disney Plus streaming service, will follow the sequel to the legendary Jedi Knight, and its events will take place about ten years after the dramatic events that marked "Revenge of the Sith" - the third part of George's controversial prequel trilogy Lucas as part of the Star Wars film series.

As already reported, Scottish actor Ewan McGregor, who played Obi-Wan Kenobi in the three trilogy films, will return to the role for another round in the series.

Haydn Christensen, who played Anakin Skywalker / Darth Vader in Lucas' films, is also expected to take part in the celebration.

Other actors who will appear in the series are Joel Edgerton (who will play Owen, Anakin's uncle, just as he did in the prequel trilogy), Moses Ingram ("Queen Gambit"), Comile Nanjiani ("Silicon Valley"), and Song Kang ("Series"). Fast and Furious ", O'Shea Jackson Jackson (" The Thieves' Lair "), Indira and Arma (" Game of Thrones ") and actor-director Benny Safdi (" Unpolished Diamond ").

"Obi-Wan Kenobi" is just one of a host of news series taking place in the "Star Wars" universe that are in the works these days.

Other series are "The Book of Boba Fett," due out in late 2021;

"Endor," which will serve as a prequel to the movie "One Rog";

"Lando," which will deal with the adventures of the young Lando Clarisian;

"Ahsoka", "Rangers of the New Republic" and more.

All of these will join the huge hit “The Mandalorian,” which will return for a third season at Disney Plus (with Pedro Pascal and Baby Yoda) in early 2022.
