After massive rescue efforts that lasted for days, the ship "EVER GIVEN" was released from the Suez Canal on Monday and the world is breathing again.

While many were quick to praise the forces that worked on the complex rescue operation, Uri Geller insists that whoever actually brought about the ship’s release was himself using of course his power of thought.

In a tweet posted on Twitter on Monday, Geller wrote: "We did it! We released the ship! Well done. The story that was published in the front pages of newspapers around the world was one hundred percent accurate. "To the efforts of the ground staff. Congratulations to them as well."

In numerous media interviews following his statement, Geller, 74, shared a move that led to the mental operation: "After the ship ran aground, I started receiving emails from around the world asking me to warp the ship and move it. With the help of the power of thought, "Geller told Ofer Hadad in an interview with the news.

We did it!

We released the Shipi!

Well done!

Our front page cover story was 100% accurate.

This was a mammoth task but with your mind-power and self belief we all together freed the ship!

Your sheer positive energy also helped the ground crew efforts well done to them too!

"I said 'why not?', I've already done much weirder things than that," Geller revealed of the thought process on the way to the operation.

"I just instructed to concentrate at 11:11 in the morning and 11:11 in the evening and try to move the boat. Believe it or not - the ship moves at 23:14," he declared.

Geller's statement of course soon became the subject of the network, and it was filled with hundreds of amused responses alongside venomous and mocking remarks.

"Uri Geller claims: 'I rescued the giant ship in the Suez Canal. You can belittle Uri, an energetic older man who invested time and dug himself with a small spoon for mixing coffee: 27,000 cubic meters of sand is no less admirable," joked Tal Friedman.

"Sorry, it was me. Just a special Pesach khomin. I couldn't resist. Promises to try," joked another surfer and many others joined the celebration: "If we all work hard enough together - maybe we can move Uri Geller's jokes from the feed" and "Uri Geller: I brought the children of Israel out of Egypt.

You may underestimate but Uri is an energetic older man who invested time and dug himself with a small spoon for mixing coffee: 27 thousand cubic meters of sand is no less admirable.

Other surfers were angry about the whole story: "Oh really, enough, he is constantly reinventing himself in embarrassing nonsense. He is not a mentalist, he does not have special powers, he is eye-catching and enough with free advertising," protested a nervous surfer and then reinforced his words, adding: "I "Makes the Earth spin on its axis. Believe it or not. Who's so stupid as to agree to participate in this charlatan's PR campaign?"

Among the thousands of cynical responses, there were also those who expressed a softer approach and received a response thanks to Geller himself, who made sure to go through the thousands of comments online and respond to a significant portion of them.

"After he bends a spoon to me at Cafe Dubnov, I believe in everything," tweeted former MK Zehava Gal-On, and another surfer tweeted: "Unpopular opinion: Uri Geller did move the ship stranded in Suez by the power of thought.

Geller did not remain indifferent to the humorous celebration at his expense and responded with his own tweet: "To all the guys who mock, slander and put rude words on me: Thank you very much, the main thing is that you talk about me. Because of the cynical reactions I send you my paranormal Oscar. Enjoy it. No. I don't care what is written about me as long as my name is spelled correctly, "he wrote below a picture of a man made of a spoon with forks bent like a hand waving a triple finger, a picture in which he made sure to use his reaction tweets to surfers who came out against him and mocked the credit he took for the rescue operation.

To all the guys who make fun of, slander and put ugly words on me:

Thank you very much, the main thing is that you talk about me.

Because of the cynical reactions I am sending you my paranormal Oscar award.

Enjoy it

I do not care what you write about me as long as you spell my name correctly.
