These are various groupings aligned with the Partido Obrero, and joined by Libres del Sur and the Revolutionary Marxist Leninist Party (PRML). They claimed connectivity for students.

Surprise.

That is what they say from the Ministry of Education that caused

the irruption, with violence

, of a group of picket groups this Wednesday in the building of the Pizzurno Palace.

They broke the gate that leads to the parking lot, set a door on fire and entered the central beach with pure chants and drums.

In that place there is a public kindergarten, which at that time had children and teachers inside.

The piquetero group mobilized there to ask for two things:

more digital equipment and connectivity for students

, in the face of the second wave that is coming.

Thus was the shed taken by the picketers in the Palace on Pizzurno Street, headquarters of the National Ministry of Education.

“We claim for our right to education.

Without access to connectivity and computers, millions of kids are going to leave school this year, ”

Federico Pachamé, leader of the UJS (Partido Obrero) and vice president of the UBA's Pharmacy and Biochemistry student center

, told

Clarín

, from inside the socket.

The official surprise was

due to the violence of the protest

, the number of people mobilized (a well-nourished group) and, also, because these piqueteros groups until now

had never been on the agenda of the educational problems

that deepened with the pandemic. .

In fact, last year there was a controversy about the computers delivered by the National Ministry of Education in the vulnerable sectors of the different jurisdictions, but the focus of the discussion was in the City of Buenos Aires;

and between Kirchnerist groups and the Buenos Aires government.

In this case, those who broke in with the same request, but on a national scale, was

the “Frente de Lucha Piquetera”

which, in essence, groups together various student and youth groups from the neighborhoods aligned with the

Partido Obrero

, plus others. Left-wing political movements such as

Free from the South

and the

Revolutionary Marxist-Leninist Party (PRML).

Thus was the shed taken by the picketers in the Palace on Pizzurno Street, headquarters of the National Ministry of Education.

The strongest insults were directed at Minister Nicolás Trotta.

After the violence, the piqueteros leaders were received by the chief of staff of that portfolio, the lawyer Matías Novoa.

Trotta was not in the building.

The national government told

Clarín

that these days they are finishing bidding for

600,000 computers to deliver to the most vulnerable students

and that the issue of connectivity does not depend on them but on Enacom.

But that, anyway, since last year students have

free navigation

(by data) in all educational portals.

Thus was the shed taken by the picketers in the Palace on Pizzurno Street, headquarters of the National Ministry of Education.

“All this can be discussed, but

what we cannot guarantee is the violence

with which they entered.

They did not even tell us what they need, nor did they give us a request before entering this way, "said official sources.

The picket version is diametrically opposite.

“The journey was escalating and radicalizing.

We arrived at 11 in the morning, five hours before entering.

But

there was no way they would serve us

.

We represent young people from the neighborhoods, which now with the crisis are full of dining rooms ”,

Gabriela de la Rosa, national leader of the Polo Obrero, who participated in the meeting with Novoa

, told

Clarín

.

Thus was the shed taken by the picketers in the Palace on Pizzurno Street, headquarters of the National Ministry of Education.

Pachamé adds that this is the fourth time in the year that they have protested about this issue in front of the Ministry of Education and that the free connectivity they receive does not serve them, because it only allows them to enter the “.com.ar” portals, when many of those used in schools do not have that domain.

Regarding the Government's statement about violence, it says: “

Are we violent?

The violent ones are the ones who take the education out of the kids and make hunger grow.

It is not the way in which they protest ”.

This story will surely continue, but what left the day is the feeling that it was an action that has much more politics than some content related to education.
