morbidity 

At the beginning of the year, there were 732 seriously ill patients hospitalized, while later the number reached a peak of 1,193 serious patients on January 17, while today the number of patients hospitalized in critical condition is only 385.

Also, the number of verified carriers identified on January 1 was 6,023 people while the weekly average was then 4,728.

On the other hand, the number of carriers identified today is only 489, while the weekly verified average is 428.

At the beginning of the year, the percentage of positive tests was 6.1%, and later in the month it rose to 9 percent, while today the percentage of positive tests is only 1.3 percent.

Also, throughout January the infection coefficient crossed the number 1 whereas today stands at 0.64.

It should be noted that the coefficient of infection today is the highest recorded in the last two weeks, when only yesterday it was 0.53.

Dead

The number of deaths on January 1 was 35 people per day, while on January 22 the mortality rate reached 66 people per day.

In contrast, the number of deaths in the last day was 8, and so far 6,214 Israelis have died from the virus.
