In the early evening, at 8 p.m., President Emmanuel Macron's speech was massively followed with 12.6 million people in front of TF1 (37.2% of PDA) and 9.9 million in front of France 2 (29.2% of PDA), as well as 3.3 million on M 6 (9.8% of PDA).

By adding continuous news channels, Médiamétrie estimates the audience for this speech at 30.8 million viewers.

However, it did not reach the audience peaks of the official statements established by Emmanuel Macron in March-April 2020, during the first wave of Covid-19 (36.7 million viewers on April 13 and 35.4 million on the 16 March).

For the rest of the evening, if the French football team ensures the minimum during its qualifying matches for the 2022 World Cup, it effortlessly wins the match for the audiences.

The victory (1-0) against Bosnia and Herzegovina brought together 5.4 million football fans on M 6, or 21.3% of the public watching television.

However, this is less than for the last match broadcast at 9 p.m. on March 24 on TF1 against Ukraine (6 million, 24.3% audience share).

TF1 took second place with the sequel to the American medical series “The Resident”.

The first episode of the evening was watched by 3.8 million fans (14.8% audience share) and the second by 3.2 million (14.4% PDA).

On average, 3.5 million aficionados have spent the evening with the doctors of Atlanta.

A score up compared to the last broadcast, Wednesday, March 17 (3.2 million, 14.2% of PDA)

The thriller of France 2, “Shadows of the past” completes the podium.

In rerun, this telefilm carried by Samuel Le Bihan and Frédéric Diefenthal captivated 2.8 million people (11.5% of PDA).

This is much less than during its first programming, on November 7, 2018 (4.1 million, 17.8% of PDA).

France 3 is in fourth position with a new issue of "Faut pas rêve" devoted to Drôme.

This has aroused the curiosity of 1.8 million viewers (7.5% PDA).

A lower result than the last issue of March 17 (1.9 million, 8.7%).
