"Eli Makbil", "The Magic Years", "Frazier" and "Sex and the City" are just some of the new remakes, rebels and spin-offs that will return to television • We can no longer wait

History repeats itself:

it's hard to ignore the trend of innovation that has plagued the small screen in recent years, and it's hard not to notice that apart from a few flickers that are considered successful and last for several seasons ("The Conners" without Roseanne, The sitcoms ("McGiver" and "Magnum Detective Private" in the action series segment), many of these series fade away pretty quickly after the initial buzz.

"Murphy Brown," "Crazy About Love," "Family in Disorder" and many believe even "Twin Peaks" did not live up to high expectations, and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

However, it seems that the trend is not going to weaken any time soon - but rather intensify - with at least five intriguing new-old projects.

Open logs and turn the hourglass:

"Parallel to me" - the sequel

"Eli Parallel" is the hottest name on the list.

The Dancing Baby has long been no baby and we would not be surprised if Eli has already become a judge, but we will certainly welcome a sequel to the award-winning legal comedy he ran for five seasons, from 1997 to 2002, which is currently in the early stages of development.

Calista Flockhart, 56, is expected to return to the lead role.

Also super-producer David E.

Kelly is involved, and estimates are that the series will air on Hollow, Disney's "adult" streaming platform, where you can find the first five seasons of "Eli Parallel."

Expect an official announcement and more details soon.

"The Magic Years" - The Reboot

No one will deny that "The Magic Years," which ran for six seasons from 1988 to 1993, is one of the best adolescent series ever.

Here the reboot is already in advanced stages, and this time the plot will focus on an African-American family in 1960s Alabama (expect a lot of plot lines that touch on racism).

It was recently reported that actor Don Cheadle ("The Avengers", "House of Lies", "Rached") will play the role of the announcer going back to his teenage days, while Fred Savage, who played Kevin in the original series, will direct the pilot episode.

"Fraser" - the sequel

Officially - a sequel to "Fraser" (which is itself, as you know, a spin-off of "Free at the Bar") has been invited to the new streaming platform Paramount Plus, with Kelsey Grammer returning to play the learned psychiatrist, a role he played for 11 seasons in the original series + nine seasons of "free".

Grammer will also produce the sequel, but it is not yet known which other original players will return to it.

"Sex and the City" - continued

Yeah Al that sounds pretty crap to me, Looks like BT aint for me either.

Most of the stars of the original series - Sarah Jessica Parker (Kerry), Cynthia Nixon (Miranda) and Christine Davis (Charlotte) have already been signed, but Kim Catrell (Samantha) has refused to return.

We are currently talking about a ten-episode mini-series that will be uploaded to the HBO MAX streaming platform, and from there we will already be streaming.

Also, just in the last day it was reported that actor David Eigenberg, who played Steve for five seasons - the object of Miranda's love, will also return.

What about Chris Knott (Mr. Big)?

Nothing official at the moment.

"Rocky" - the prequel

Sylvester Stallone is already 74 years old, and his last appearance as the legendary boxer Rocky Balboa will most likely be in the movie "Creed 3", which is expected to hit the screens next year.

However, Rocky really did not land his last punch because Stallone is working hard on a prequel series for movies.

The plot will likely take place in the 60s and focus on the boy Brooke, and the actor who has already completed several scripts and shared a small peek at his Instagram account accompanied by an exciting post, hopes the series, which is of course meant for streaming, will hold at least ten episodes.
