.

Galanti, defended by the lawyer Sigfrido Fenyes, is accused as medical director of the Sports Medicine Reference Center of the Careggi University Hospital.

During the first hearing of the trial, last February, the two technicians who drafted the report ordered by the judge, according to which the player's death could not have been avoided, were heard.

The Florentine prosecutors contest Galanti, as medical director of Sports Medicine of the University Hospital of Careggi (Florence), the issue of two different certificates of suitability to Astori, in July 2016 and July 2017: documents that would have been issued although arrhythmias were found in the stress tests.

The 2016 visit showed an arrhythmia of the left ventricle, that of 2017 a "sporadic non-early ventricular ectopic beats, single with two morphologies for the entire duration of the test", originating from "two distinct foci".

The companion of the Fiorentina captain, Francesca Fioretti, arrived at the Palace of Justice in Florence this morning.

Waited outside by a group of reporters, he made no statements.
