Numerous federal states have adjusted their corona rules in the past few days, mostly they have been tightened.

Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) has called on citizens to comply consistently in order to curb the growth in the number of infections.

"That means above all that it should be a quiet Easter, one in a small circle, with very reduced contacts," said Merkel in her weekly video podcast.

Baden-Wuerttemberg

Who can I meet?

Private meetings in public or private spaces are possible for members of two households, a maximum of 5 people.

Children up to and including 14 years of age in both households are not counted.

Couples who do not live together count as one household.

Exceptions are possible in municipalities with a stable incidence of less than 35 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in seven days.

Do curfews apply?

City and county counties are instructed to put a curfew from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. if the incidence is over 100 for seven days and other measures have not helped.

Which shops, service providers and restaurants are open?

Only shops for daily needs, such as supermarkets, pharmacies, drugstores or petrol stations, are open.

If the incidence is below 100, the remaining retailers are allowed to open with an appointment.

The emergency brake applies over 100 and this option is no longer available.

The so-called body-hugging services such as hairdressers and cosmetic studios are allowed to open.

If a medical mask cannot be worn permanently, for example when shaving, a daily, negative corona rapid test is necessary.

Restaurants are closed, but may offer pick-up food and drinks.

Who can I meet?

Sport may only be practiced without contact;

Sport is allowed with members of your own household and a maximum of one other household, provided that the minimum distance is observed.

For people from two households, a maximum of five people are allowed to play sports together.

Up to 20 children up to and including 12 years of age are allowed to do sports outdoors in a fixed group.
