Media criticism: Can truth only emerge from being affected?

Can truth only arise from being affected? Or is that an anti-social misunderstanding in the end? Small consideration about the identity and us.

This column says, regular readers know, the truth and nothing but them.

Should I ever get the idea to present you a scripted reality, I will of course announce this beforehand.

If necessary, so only in the ruled out case that there should be a little slip, I will of course gladly return the honorary award for the most touching representation of the desolate truth.

Who talks about those who didn't get it in the first place?

Thomas Fischer

Born in 1953, is a legal scholar and was Chairman of the 2nd Criminal Senate of the Federal Court of Justice.

He is the author of an annually revised standard short commentary on the criminal code and numerous other specialist books.

You know, of course, readers what I am referring to.

I only say: caravan line, Lovemobil, Lehrenkraut.

“The scandal surrounding the film 'Lovemobil' shook the industry.” This sentence comes from the headline of a German weekly newspaper whose employees have already won awards for investigating truths “like public prosecutors”;

so they know their way around.

The quoted teaser is only an indiscriminate example from the cosmos of the "industry".

Here the question arises: Which industry are we talking about?

Is it the prostitution-in-the-forest filmmaking industry?

Is there a prostitution documentary filmmaking industry?

Or do we have to open the category even further: Documentation Sector?

Independent journalist industry?

TV fallow?

Or even: media industry, press at all?

Do you know someone, dear reader, whom you would describe as aroused with regard to the opus »Lovemobil« and the truth of its creation?

You don't know for sure, but you could find out, provided that the startling sentence is the truth, and if you had a way to tell when you were upset.

Not easy!

Let's just ask: Do you know someone, dear readers, whom you would describe as aroused with regard to the opus »Lovemobil« and the truth of its creation?

Have you noticed any signs of shaking trauma around you?

Let's be honest: with a high degree of probability and with Saint Relotius, the patron saint of the Higher Truth, there is no real question of that.

Unless the unpleasant-smelling downdraft of regret is taken for a "jolt" that drew us into our noses for a few days.

Back then, when the Claas R. case shook us all up, the bad guy meant well, but perhaps mainly with himself, which is desirable in the age of careerist hedonism discovered through completely new "studies" of hopeful young researchers is, but should dress more modestly.

The Lehrenkraut case shakes a little more skillfully, which is not due to the genius of the protagonist, but because the truth about the subject is already known and the question of the truthfulness of Ms. L., who is referred to as the filmmaker, is not at all about that whether Scharlieh from Radebeul May and Winnetou's sister Marie Versini really did something ethno-identitarian inadmissible with each other or not, but only about whether Ms. L. really meant it well.

And, as the subject already tells us (caravan prostitution "in the German provinces"), there really cannot be the slightest doubt!

Could you imagine that anyone could get even the smallest prize for making a film in which prostitution is "played down", the suffering and danger of the industry are trivialized or structural violence is glossed over?

Or could you imagine that anyone could be given even the smallest prize for making a film in which prostitution is »played down«, the suffering and danger of the industry are trivialized, or structural violence is glossed over?

In addition, the director - in this case the job title really fits very well -, as she reports, was at least personally in the forest to take a close look at all the misery, while Mr. May actually didn't speak 100 Indian dialects and Mr. Relotius wasn't on the moon at all.

In addition, as every animal filmmaker knows, it is very time-consuming to lie in wait in the brothel or in the branches above a prison motorhome with a camera and wait until a murder occurs or a mafia killer hides in the arms of a Queen of the Night betrays a pirate's treasure.

The wait can take longer than for a documentary about the life of salmon and bears, in which winter always passes first and then summer, or for an award-winning film about the journeys of the emperor penguins and the wildebeest back and forth through the mountains Serengeti.

That is why Professor Grzimek from Frankfurt switched to having cheetahs and chimpanzees portrayed by extras at an early stage.

And nobody can claim that the fake professionals did not play the real animals better than they themselves could!

If you don't believe it, you can first watch Hilde Nocker with Mr. Grzimek and the chimpanzee »Uschi« (played by a very young camera assistant) on YouTube and then, for comparison, the sports studio with Mr. Kürten, Ms. Weissmüller and the chimpanzee »Cheetah«, originally from the jungle of Hollywood and therefore real, but not true.

This brings us to the paschal legal issue: the truth.

As everyone claims, it is the most beautiful thing of all and therefore very important, not least of the aroused "industry".

This is mainly due to the fact that the truth is a rather supra-individual thing, in other words: communication is the mother of truth.

Incidentally, this already emerges from Genesis, in which at the beginning of truth there was not the atom but the word.

The industry was once invented to bring the whole truth and nothing but it from one place to another.

In a tricky way, the somewhat unidirectional truths of the press industry get into the communicative latency spaces of everyone, even the blind, deaf and dumb, out in the country.

What does that mean, to put it a little less in terms of a master’s degree?

It means that under the influence of all-round communication, i.e. the exchange of meaning, information and feeling, a kind of common truth is formed from the respective individual realities: That can, but does not have to be, the lottery numbers.

More common and closer to the bottom line are the truths about what is important, what is dangerous, what is beautiful, recognized, despised, and desirable.

Most citizens do not really (!) Know whether the CDU chairman L. actually exists or is just a foam visualization between the interviewer Lanz and a particularly legal journalist who always does her work very diligently.

They simply believe that there is Mr. L. in Düsseldorf, as well as Mrs. M. in Berlin, Mr. S. in Munich and many others whom they have never met and will never meet.

This requires a high level of trust.

Some do not or only reluctantly or against ever increasing resistance.

They then say that God does not exist, or that the world is a bowl, or that the corona virus was invented by George W. Bush in his garage to get revenge on China for 9/11, in which he accidentally Confused Deng Xiaoping with Saddam H.

In the old days, when people still had a god or two and a general manager or head coach, the truth wasn't that difficult.

In the old days, when people still had a god or two and a general manager or head coach, the truth wasn't that difficult.

There was a certain contradiction between the wretched reality of life and the golden truth of the naturally willed masters, but that could be regulated internally with a little humility, a fist in the pocket and a little poaching.

This is different in the modern world of fully developed or dreamed-of networking.

Truth and reality, as the bachelor's degree in world studies teaches us today, should be one forever at the speed of light: one bit and two bits are three bits, and that is not only the truth, but the truth is also in them .

It would hardly have occurred to Johannes Gutenberg that the truth about God was a printed letter.

Now we all know the usual everyday sayings, according to which the truth is "sometimes like this, sometimes like that", everyone has his own truth, the whole truth never comes out anyway, truth is "a matter of opinion", and so on.

Somehow it's all right, but it's a bit childish and always has a hint of insult in the undertone.

Because the relativization of the truth should mostly only apply to the other, who do not try as hard or are as clairvoyant as you are.

There used to be a reality for people, and God was responsible for the truth.

Occasionally she revealed herself to the saints for a moment and only on Judgment Day to the rest.

The merging of reality and truth is an enlightenment narrative, and it has taken on a new, colorful name for us today: Identity.

The ubiquitous "consternation" enlighteners, who constantly spoil your mood and want to convert you to regret and despair about your own, allegedly "false" identity, are the surface.

Or, as they like to call it with others: the tip of the iceberg.

The iceberg is called: Identitarian Movement.

Sometimes it comes across as folkish and sometimes feminist, sometimes as a camaraderie and sometimes as a start-up.

The common message is: You are what your identity is.

Men are written as women, Germans as Turks, criminals as heroes, morals as concerns.

Most important lesson: What is real is true.

Be yourself by being affected.

Community is the identity of identities.

Only those affected can recognize the truth in reality and are therefore only allowed to say it.

There is no doubt that this has considerable proportions of childish amazement, touching disorientation and puberty-like self-importance.

To demand that gays only be portrayed by gay actors or that poems by black poets can only be translated by non-colored people can hardly be undercut intellectually, even at a small distance.

But (because of that) it is not really bad and not worth a lot of excitement.

It's as real as the eternal love & peace using Marshall amplifiers and mescaline.

What happens below the surface of the water is more important, less noticeable and therefore worse because it is more dangerous: it erodes the base of the ice floe on which the funny little dramas are performed.

The agencies, institutions and structures of social truths melt under the rays of the realities concerned and flow into raging waters of pre-Enlightenment narrow-mindedness and violence.

There is, dear Marx-despiser, some evidence that the Mohr from Trier was not at all wrong with the assumption that the symbiosis of Hegel and steel production would by no means result if only the goods are allowed to run their course through the universe, develop a social kingdom of heaven on their own.

As a precaution: Please do not come to me now with the VEB Plaste & Elaste.

Mr Kant cannot help it that Mr Bolsonaro thinks that is the name of a drink from Florida.

The agencies, institutions and structures of social truths melt under the rays of the realities concerned and flow into raging waters of pre-Enlightenment narrow-mindedness and violence.

From the 16th to 18th centuries back to the reality of the shaken up industry.

Of course, everyone who reads something like this knows that there can be no question of being shaken up: Rather, it is a short peasant in the great dismay-eating.

Who cares?

When the box of the respective "format" pops open, everyone knows anyway which devil is jumping out of it.

Nobody looks at this because he or she wants to experience new things.

It's like with »Bild« & Co .: It's not about new things, but about the sound of the familiar, that is, about the persistence of a noise.

"Documentation about caravan smear in the province".

Yes Perfect!

That's exactly what we wanted to know!

What do you say then?

Witness, how destroyed are you?

Mr. Freier, how dull can you be?

Perhaps it would be interesting to find out what personal experiences editors and judges have had with street prostitution.

But I don't really want to know either;

they should work this out with their partners, children and therapists.

In court, the truth is the shining star, the great goal, the supreme reason.

And supposedly the most banal requirement for correctness.

Anyone who puts it this way has not yet understood the essentials: Truth and correctness are actually the same thing.

Because truth is not "reality".

What a court "determines" is not an

average

of real points of view, "concerns", opinions, but claims an objectified, supra-individual truth: a factual basis on which common social evaluations and judgments ("in the truest sense of the word ) can raise.

Massive, often destructive state violence is exercised on the basis of "judicial truth".

The legitimation of violence results from "truth", and this is not a majority of subjective feelings of concern, but a communicative structure of meaning.

People don't always sign company contracts.

The wolves in Thomas Hobbes' Enchanted Forest are wolves precisely because they are social beings.

Significantly, the Hobbesian wolf is not a lupus to the wolf, but to humans.

Even 400 years of misunderstanding does not expire.

What does this mean for the shaken up industry?

Please don't! One would like to call out.

Please do not send another text about the devilish structures of immoral competition and about the high ethics of the industry-shaking sensorium.

We can no longer hear it without belching.

Let's dare what the industry calls the "steep thesis": learning from German television means learning to win.

Yes, dear editors (m / f / d)!

A very unusual new task: Let's see if the world doesn't end somewhere.

That would be a start.

And not because such important editorial offices as yours "stayed with it" or such brave victims as those presented waged such an unbelievably "courageous fight for their rights" (= 200 letters and two administrative processes).

But just because nothing special happened.

Take a role model from the documentaries about the year in the Alps, the course of life in the taiga or the first year of the little gerbil.

The sun comes in March, then the ice melts, the streams gush, the flowers bloom.

Then comes summer and then autumn.

At the end of November, when the last color has disappeared from the high forests, the marmot looks for the remaining fresh flowers and goes to sleep.

That's nice too.

I wish you happy Easter holidays!

Eat a brightly painted egg or two!

It is spring, and cardiology no longer sees the LDL cholesterol so closely.
