According to analytics firm App Annie, $ 32 billion was spent on apps worldwide on iOS (Apple) and Android (Google) devices in the first quarter of 2021. This figure is a real record compared to analytics previous ones.

In detail, the App Store is in first place with $ 21 billion in consumer spending, against 11 billion for the Play Store.
For each of these two firms, the figures have increased by around 40%, from 2020 to 2021. Between Google and Apple, the nature of the most downloaded applications differs.
