(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, 03 APR - "What the agent Derek Chauvin did by pressing George Floyd's neck with his knee was totally unnecessary": this is the testimony of the head of the murder section of the Minneapolis police, Richard Zimmerman.

"If you press a knee on someone's neck you know you can kill them. Once a person is handcuffed the threat level drops dramatically, and keeping that person in a prone position with the knee on the neck drastically reduces the ability to breathe," explained Zimmerman.
