The race to change the sugar of "Domotok" (Niv Aharonson)
You'll have to believe us when we say it's not an easy job, not an easy one at all.
To experience all the new products that come out of the Israeli market (and sometimes even outside it), to taste before everyone else, deliveries and more deliveries, paper bags that accumulate in the office (and at home), a constant feeling of satiety.
Seriously, it's harder than it looks, and no one pays you for the gym, or compensates you for the rapidly evolving sense of FOMO in the mind.

However, a "new on the shelf" section, with its tasters, curiosities and loyal consumers, has set out again.
And this time - especially durable green sprouts, capsules that Italy wants, successful chickpea cracking and dessert of course.
Yes, we are very eclectic.

"New on the shelf" tasters have cooled down

Homemade pastries, Ogle
Homemade pastries (Photo: Shosh Lahav)
The Northern Ogle company is launching a series of family pastries in which you can find, among other things, a marble cake and a yeast cake, chocolate chips, a package of butter-flavored cookies, personal muffins and rugalach in a large package.
The initial overall feel is a bit industrial, but the products themselves are good in relation to the genre, provide significant value for money and can close a corner of sweet next to four afternoon coffee in the office.
Capsules Italian Rust, Starbucks

The coffee giant from Seattle (whose products are marketed in the country by Osem-Nestle) is expanding its shelves with a new capsule blend - Italian Style Rust - in dark roasting, and in a degree of intensity 11.
We took a sleeve at home, handed out to other experimenters, and received positive feedback.
Not everyone knew what exactly that roasting was giving it, but the coffee itself - given its capsule - was good, strong and without any side effects.
Soft chickpeas, sunfrost
Sunfrost soft chickpeas (Photo: Sunfrost)
The frozen vegetable powerhouse is preparing for Independence Day with soft chickpeas, ready for immediate use for ... you know what.
According to the company, these grains have undergone a longer soaking process than their peers, which has softened them a bit more, making them particularly suitable as a base for making homemade chickpeas.
The product itself of course skips one of the cumbersome steps in making chickpeas, and also eliminates the long queues at the opening of the chickpeas prior to lighting the barbecues.
We took Sunfrost's recommendation (grains for a blender with raw tehini, garlic, salt, pepper and water - and grind for two minutes), added one or two secret ingredients and got a relatively smooth, tasty and successful paste.
Homemade sprout bedding, the moshavnik
Homemade sprouts of the moshavnik (Photo: the moshavnik)
Moshavnik website launches home-made bedding of organic radish, sunflower, broccoli and alfalfa sprouts, which allow pruning immediately before eating.
This exceptional product tries to tackle one of the annoying challenges of these home sprouts - wasting raw material and very quick “fatigue” for a brother-in-law - and does so with impressive success.
The bedding, grown professionally, comes to the customer as a package deal that requires a little spice on the counter and some watering memory - and is ready to be harvested before the meal, with a promise of two weeks of durability.
At the technical level, these statements have been fully backed up.
Even as the sprouts knelt under our burden of neglect, little water lifted them again.
At the level of taste, they were exactly what we expected them to be - a bite with a castor at the end of a salad or sandwich.
